Josh Boyajian was on scene with Chicago fire companies tonight at a still alarm call and shared the following details: The Chicago Fire Department was dispatched to a still alarm at 6220 S. Austin Ave around 7:00 PM. Upon arrival, Engine 127 found smoke coming from the attic of a one-and-a-half story single-family home. Truck 60 took over sector 1 and extended the ladder to the roof, while Engine 32 led out a line with Engine 127. Here are some photos that Josh captured during the incident. Truck 60 was positioned at the roof with the main line deployed, Engine 127 was leading the line out, Engine 32 was also deploying lines, and Engine 127 tapped into a hydrant to support the operation. This was a quick response, and it looks like the crews were able to contain the situation effectively. It's always good to see the department in action and the coordination between units. Thanks for sharing these images, Josh — they give a great visual of the scene.
